Ingredients
2 lbs lean ground beef
1 (29 oz) can tomato sauce
1 (29 oz) can kidney beans (not drained)
1 (29 oz) can pinto beans (not drained)
1 (28 oz) can diced tomatoes (not drained)
1 yellow onion, diced
1 diced jalapeño, deseeded and deveined
2 stalks celery, diced
1 green bell pepper, diced
1 Tbsp cumin
¼ cup chili powder
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
1 cup water
1 Tbsp butter
Directions
In a heavy bottomed stock part, brown the ground beef then drain the fat. Add the rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Taste for seasoning and serve.
