Ingredients
12 cups water
1 cup sugar or more to taste
3 quart-sized teabags
Directions
In a large saucepan, combine sugar and 6 cups of water. Bring to a boil and add teabags. Boil hard for 7 minutes then remove from heat. Ring out tea bags into the pot then discard the teabags. Allow to cool for 1 hour then pour into a pitcher with 6 cups cold water. Chill and serve over ice.
To make decaffeinated tea, follow all instructions except boil decaffeinated teabags for 20 minutes.
