Makes 1 cup
Ingredients
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
2 Tbsp all-purpose flour
1 cup chicken stock
1 sprig of rosemary
salt and freshly ground pepper
Directions
In a sauce pot, melt butter over medium-high heat then whisk in flour. Continue stirring until roux begins to lightly brown then drizzle in chicken stock, whisking continuously. Reduce heat to low, add rosemary, and simmer gently until sauce is thickened. Remove rosemary, season to taste, and serve.
