Hummus

Ingredients

1 (15 oz can) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
⅓ cup tahini
juice of 1 lemon
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tsp cumin
½ tsp kosher salt
2 Tbsp olive oil plus more as needed
2 Tbsp water
hot sauce
¼ toasted pine nuts

Directions

Drain and rinse the chickpeas then set aside. In a blender or food processor, add the tahini and lemon juice. Blend until creamy.

Add garlic, cumin, and salt. Blend until thoroughly combined.

Gradually add the chickpeas and blend until smooth. Scrape down the sides of the blender as needed.

Add the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of water and blend. Add more water if needed o adjust consistency. Taste for seasoning.

Transfer hummus to a serving bowl and top with a drizzle of olive oil, hot sauce, and pine nuts. Serve with pita chips.
