Ingredients
3 cups sugar
¾ cup butter
⅔ cup evaporated milk
1 12-oz package semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 7-oz jar marshmallow creme
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions
Combine sugar, butter, and evaporated milk in heavy 3-quart saucepan. Stirring constantly over medium heat, bring to full rolling boil and set a timer. Boil for exactly 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat and quickly stir in chocolate chips until melted. Add marshmallow cream, nuts, and vanilla. Beat with a wooden spoon until it has lost its glossy sheen.
Pour into parchment-lined 9×9 inch baking pan.
Allow to cool completely, remove from pan, and cut into 1-inch squares.
Note: To make Peanut Butter Fantasy Fudge, substitute 1 heaping cup of organic creamy peanut butter for the chocolate chips.
